The city's government offices are located in one main site and twelve remote sites located throughout the city. The City of Kirkland looked to COMgroup to evaluate the requirements for a telecommunication system and carrier network to replace their existing multi-location voice network.

In its work with the City of Kirkland, COMgroup provided the following services:
 

  • Interviewed for and documented requirements
  • Developed an RFP, negotiated telecom equipment and circuit contract pricing and language and managed implementation
  • Coordinated with the IT project team for provider connections and dialing plan coordination
  • Managed the Implementation of the system

Results:


Thanks to COMgroup, the City of Kirkland was able to replace its aging, inefficient and inflexible technology. The new system will provide flexibility and additional functions such as a call center, providing benefits for many years to come. A coordinated dialing plan with all new numbers was also implemented for easier access by the public and internal communications.
